What’s an Ombré?

If you don’t know what the term ombré is, you have definitely been living under a rock. For those of you who have, it is having colors or tones that shade into each other —used especially of fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark. Ombré has been the trend for spring and summer ranging from hair color, nails, clothes, makeup and more.
Many famous celebs have been rocking the ombré hair such as Drew Barrymore, Khloe Kardashian, Rachel Bilson and many more A-list celebs.

While these celebs look amazing in the neutral ombré effect, late summer has brought out some neon flare to the mix. Neon colors were all the rage this summer on many style watches but it didn’t just stay on clothing, many salons were flooded with adding some neons to their clients. I myself went a little bold and added some neon to my hairdo and I wasn’t the only one; check out Lauren Condrad’s pink dip.
This is me :)

This cool look was the rage for the past two seasons, do you think it will continue to be loved in the fall or is it time for something new?  In my opinion it doesn’t matter if it is here to stay or it’s so last season. Yves St Laurent said, “Fashion fades, but style is eternal” If you have the confidence in you to rock something than do it, do not let the opinions of others distinguish what you should do. If the ombré effect is new to you and you want to try it than go for it and if you just love it than stick to it. DON'T GET BOSSED AROUND BY TRENDS! Do what you love and makes you happy! Until the next one, be blessed!! :)

Throwback Thursdays- Marie Antoinette Style

Thursdays in the social media world can be known as Throwback Thursday. So today I decided to take it back, way back. For some reason, I’ve always liked the beautiful pastel colors and outdoorsy, whimsical feel from the Marie Antoinette era. So when I saw Karl Lagerfeld’s 2013 resort collection for Chanel, I fell in love. It’s a mixture of 90s teenage grunge and drop of Marie Antoinette and you have this look narrow down.

The makeup is inspired by the theme of the collection, Versailles,” shared Creative Director of Chanel Makeup Peter Philips. “It's a 'pink' makeup look, between girly and rebel. I topped the makeup off by placing a black velvet Chanel logo as a beauty spot on either the left or right side of the face—high on the cheekbones, under the eye.

These styles are so avant-garde and playful—how can you not appreciate them?  I also saw this picture as I was browsing through bedroom sets and I fell in love!!! I don’t know what company the collection is from, but I would absolutely love for this to be my room!!

So what do you think of this collection-is it something you would boldly try or just leave it on the runway?  Be blessed!!
